It's that time of the week again isn't it? It's probably past that time for my While You Were Sleeping post because I was watching things on the internet and got sidetracked in my quest to show you what I'm watching. This week is mostly musical, and it's sprinkled with a little bit of content from my youth:
“TV on the Radio ‘Happy Idiot’ ft. Paul Reubens and Karen Gillan” – I only knew one TV on the Radio song before I saw this video, but I took a chance on this song when I saw that the video featured one of my favorite redheads of all time, Karen Gillan. If you're a Doctor Who fan or if you've seen Guardians of the Galaxy, you might recognize the gorgeous and talented Gillan distracting the driver in this video. And if you're at least in your mid- to late-20's, you'll probably recognize Paul Reubens aka Pee-Wee Herman:

“Pharrell Williams - It Girl” – Pharrell may be 41, but he is a musician who definitely proves that you're never too old to be a nerd/geek/fanboy. His latest video is part 16 bit video game, part anime, and the smallest bit acid trip. And if this style looks familiar, it's because Pharrell got Takashi Murakami to produce this video, the same guy who made the animated video for Kanye West’s song Good Morning, which featured a teddy bear with psychedelic eyes (you can see West’s video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CHs4x2uqcQ): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPZDBF0kei0
“The Affair Main Title Sequence with original music by Fiona Apple” – Showtime has been addicting people to sex and murder for years with shows like Dexter, Californication, and Masters of Sex. For their latest show, Affair, they decided to add some awesome music to the mix by getting Fiona Apple to make the theme for the opening title sequence. I've been a fan of Fiona Apple for quite a while, and this short piece by her doesn't disappoint: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6muh9kTlr88
“Game Theory: Which Link Rules Them All? (Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors)” – There have been quite a few Zelda games over the past couple decades (yeah, the series is that old), but since most of them exist in different timelines, The Game Theorist decided to figure out which one was the greatest Link of them all by comparing their adventures, strength, equipment, and various other qualities. Check it out and see if you agree with his findings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n5zZDsUffs
That's my contribution for the week. I'm going to get back to wading my way through all 4 seasons of Farscape on Netflix until Arrow and The Flash premiere next week. I checked out Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season premiere this week (I know, I'm late) but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Super powers, new characters, and crazy people make for a good show. After 2 episodes of Gotham, I think I’m quite though. It's just not worth watching to me, not when Arrow started off much stronger and has much more action. I will say that Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock is my favorite character on Gotham. I liked him the last time he played a cop on Life as well. He makes a good cop.
Anyway, see you next week.
