Welcome to While You Were Sleeping, where I stoke the fires of my insomnia for your benefit. If you find yourself with something important to do that you'd rather put off for a while, here's some fuel to keep you procrastinating:
1. “Pokemon Red And Blue W/ Smosh (Honest Game Trailers)” – Starting off by highlighting the “controllers” part of Controllers & Capes, I bring you a game from my childhood (because I'm old). There are 15 year olds who didn't exist when this game came out that are still trying to catch 'em all. The best thing about this video is that they actually took the time to make fun of all 151 original Pokemon with names like "Hail Seadra" and "Hooked on Onix": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMq-FyDBeBA
2. “Megaman X Fanimation by Shane Newville” – Yes, this is almost 2 years old, but the internet is a big place, and I can't get to everything all at once. I don't care how impossibly hard those NES Megaman games were, I will always love them. New games like Assassins Creed and Call of Duty hold a lot of weight in the gaming world today, but you can give me a frustrating side scroller full of robots any day. I'm glad that this was how Fanimation was made, but now I will sit around questioning why there aren't more of these for far too long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F991RSOU00Y
3. “7 Superhero Facts To Stump The Biggest Fans!” – I went into this video thinking I'd at least know one of these facts, but no, I was new to all of this. That's what makes a good YouTube random fact video, giving the fans something new: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwkxYZVXy-s
4. “Matt Damon Takes The ALSA Ice Bucket Challenge!” – It almost seems pointless to you for me to post something you see on a regular basis at this point. Ice bucket challenges are as plentiful as Kardashians these days. However, in this video, you get to see Matt Damon pour toilet water on his head. That's gotta be worth it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlGhuud-s4w
So that's what I've got for you this week. Feel free to let me know when I've got a good video in the comment section below, or let me know if something sucks. And I'll happily take any suggestions you may have for future posts. Have fun wasting time on the internet until next week kids.
