Since it’s always happy hour somewhere, we thought we’d share some themed beers that are on our wish lists. Tried any of these brews? Let us know your thoughts—and maybe save us some misery if one doesn’t quite live up to its awesome namesake.
Ommegang Brewery’s Game of Thrones Fire & Blood, red ale
I’ve actually had beers from this line, and would drink others if given the opportunity. While the one I tasted wasn’t the best beer I have ever had, it beat the pants off a lot of other beers that are named after pop culture icons.

New England Brewing Company’s Imperial Stout Trooper—you guessed it, a stout
I do not know a whole lot about New England Brewing Co. but this beer would be worth getting for the bottle alone.

Black Sheep Brewery’s Monty Python’s Holy Grail, golden ale
This beer has been on shelves so long that someone must love it. Holy Grail has been around for 15 years, and was created on the 30th anniversary of the silly movie.

Federation of Beer’s Vulcan Ale, red ale
Beers in a can, not usually the best of drinks. Plus Vulcans aren’t the first Star Trek race that comes to mind when you’re thinking of imbibing. 50-50 chance on this one.

Stone Brewing Company’s Stone Farking Wheaton W00tstout, stout
Wil Wheaton is a fan of craft beers and practices home brewing—while that does not make him a beer expert, it makes him way more knowledgeable than us! 2.0 version of w00tstout will be released soon as well. Stone Brewing Co. makes fantastic beers, and if you had to pick just one from this list, this is the one that I would trust the most.
